I'm almost finished on my first year at London Met, and I would like to live in a flat with some friends from halls.

I can't seem to find a place however, that is cheap, affordable, has ALL bills included in the rental agreement and is in relative close distance to Aldgate (i know im setting my standards high here).

Im not asking anyone to do a search for me (although if anyone did have knowledge of somewhere i'd be really grateful) but would anyone here be cool enough to suggest any places that are ideal for student living in London, given my preferences above?

    Go East, young man :p:

If your uni is in Aldgate you're actually in a pretty ideal position. You can rent a house in Bethnal Green, Mile End, Whitechapel, Bow, etc with your mates. Basically look into the E1/E2/E3 postcode areas. These districts are all within walking/bus distance of Aldgate and are studenty areas which are pretty cheap compared to the rest of inner city London. If you have a bit more cash to spend and don't mind the commute, you could look at the new flat developments in the Docklands too.

Finding a deal which includes rent is slightly trickier and will depend on the landlord/agency rather than the area. Have you done a search on Rightmove/Zoopla/Gumtree/whatever?

Are you looking to rent a whole flat yourself, a whole flat to share with other people or to simply find a room to rent in a house share somewhere?

i find its certainly not the norm for student places to come with bills included, there maybe a few places but they are in the minority.
