Hello. I was just wondering what kind of jobs I'd be able to get with an MA in Criminology. I'm wanting suggestions of jobs that will take full advantage of this qualification, leading to the highest paid job I can get. Thanks.

The question is too broad. What industry do you want to go into?

In the corporate Britain, maybe the HR??? Headhunting? It's somewhat related to psychology or occupational psychology. If you are good at headhunting, you should make quite a lot on commissions.

When I hear criminology as a person who doesn't know much about the field, I think of CSI and all the police TV shows from the 90s.

Haha, as do I. I'm not sure which pathway is best for me. I enjoyed my course, but I have absolutely no preference as to what work I do, so long as it is well paid. I appreciate that you have to work up the ranks, no matter what field you're in, but I excelled in Sociology at high school, so maybe a field that looks more at the social impacts of crime, rather than the psychological issues would be best? I've read that jobs with MI5/6 are available to postgraduate students, and I have to admit, being able to say you work there is an amazing thing. However, would the competition be too tough to handle?
