Can anyone tell me on average, how often a sodium potassium pump actually pumps 3 sodiums out and two potassiums in across a membrane at resting potential?, i.e. how many times in a second
Also does anyone know the density of sodium potassium pumps in a typical cell membrane, i.e. how many there would be if you had say a metre squared of surface membrane. I would really appreciate these statistics for a calulation.
