    Someone told me,

"Once you get admission into a university you can transfer to other courses, even the courses that you don't have a-levels for" ?

    In the same uni??
You can probably transfer to a course that has lower requirements then your course but not to a course that has a higher requirement then those of which you achieved.
I know this person at the university of Lincoln who transferred from a Law degree to a business degree after the first semister

All depends on the individual circumstances. You can usually transfer courses if you are still early in the first term, and if you have good eligibility for the other course, and if it isn't full already. But if you have BBB and want to go onto an AAB course, it's at the uni's discretion whether they want to consider you. If you don't have the A-Level grades for the course you want to be on, don't bank on being allowed to transfer to it.

You usually can - I know quite a few people who did this.

If you look at it from their perspective the Uni's No.1 concern is their ranking. Since the dropout rate is a component of this, they will go a long way to prevent you dropping out.

But of course they don't advertise this because then everyone would try and do it...

Now of course there are limits to this as the above poster suggests. It's usually less of a problem then you'd think though.

    Not 100 percent true.

Universities often, although not always, have a small number of places available for internal transfers. However, these are competitive and you don't have the automatic right to switch. Moreover, if certain A-levels are required you will usually need to have these, or show evidence of your knowledge of the subject(s) some other way.

You can in that it isn't forbidden, but it isn't definite, or even necessarily easy.
