Hello all Latin-easters, I am currently studying A2 Latin but I have quite a big problem. Right now we do not have a Latin teacher and the school haven't been able to get a suitable replacement as yet. So I was wondering, how is everyone studying the Annals 15 set text? Are there any good resources for it or commentaries as I have found it extremely difficult to get hold of any? I do own the Bristol Classical Press's copy of Annals 15 but I don't believe I can only use this as it isn't as in depth as one might like. Would very much appreciate any help as I am quite stuck as to how to go about it studying it.

I totally sympathise! all we have really done in class thus far is translate the text, I am also on the hunt for a recommended source of comment/criticism/explained historical context etc as, apart from understanding the raw meaning/ being able to spot some stylistic stuff I feel I am struggling- pretty worried about any sort of comprehension!!
Tell me have you had any luck so far?
If I find anything I promise to report back!

(oh, I don't know if this helps but it's definitely quite amusing: you know the chapter on Tigellinus' banquets with all of the crazy animals and the prostitutes? I heard someone say that Cassius Dio gives even more gory details about this banquet, and I have just found a translation of the very chapter!! haha)
Some of the other stuff he writes about Nero is certainly interesting, it's cool to read other details about him. Whether it's helpful though...
The Tigellinus chapter is in 15, labelled pg 111

(maybe this book? I'm pretty sure I've seen it somewhere before, or similar ones- pretty sure they include comment, although I'm not sure how thorough this comment might be)
