You realise that this is probably the brainchild of some 'cool' pastor somewhere in America trying to make Christian ideals seem hip, right? It was probably the same guy who came up with chastity rings. Anyone who says they're doing this is basically admitting that they love touching their penis so much that it's impacting their life negatively. That's quite an embarrassing thing to admit to.

EDIT: U mad, chronic masturbators? Come at me, bros.

I have one problem. Someone posted a link on TSR which led to porn but they disguised it as something innocent, so I clicked on it by accident. My eyes did not linger and I did not have a tug. Am I still allowed in?

    Otherwise, I am clean.
Yep, just as long as it isn't sustained. But really try to completely avoid it now.

Count me in. My rod shall no longer suffer from any more 'master bait'.

Well, it isn't so much abstaining, as it is a redirection of energy. So, in such a case of redirection, it will be healthy and beneficial. However, if it's just pure and oppressive abstinence (maybe, in a religious sense), then it may become detrimental.

How much were you yanking it for it to be a serious drain on your energy reserves?

Who, like myself, is embarking on this great and challenging journey? :proud:

I began on 01/01/2013 00:00. If you too began then, then all the better for a full 2013! However, if you still want to take part, by all means begin now! Be a man (sorry, no women allowed)!

    So, rules are as follows:

    - No touching whatsoever (except for clear and non-sexual reasons/purposes - e.g. shower etc).

    - No stroking whatsoever.

    - No self-fellation whatsoever (who in the hell can do that anyway? :lolwut: )

    - No porn whatsoever (however, this is a bonus rule - but it makes sense to abstain from this also).

    - No ejaculation (unless with another person, then this challenge clearly wouldn't matter to you, unless of course, you wanted to abstain from solo sexual activities in order to be more potent and virile for mutual sexual encounters :ahee: ).

Just enjoy your horniness lads and let that productivity shoot up and your positive social interaction with girls exponentially increase!

(P.S. I am proud to say that today will be day 5 )

So, who's in? I'll gladly put your name down and we can post here, as we're all in this together (not in the "Call me dave" manner).

    Current participants:

    Myself :proud: (Sovr'gnChancellor£)
    Dagnabbit
    AndrewD95
    Acroamathematics
    Lol_Fish
    RobertWhite
    RadioHawk

    (
P.S. This isn't just pure abstinence; it's a complete redirection of energies. This means - do more sports, go out more, socialise more and more with females or males and increase confidence and dominance.)

i shall partake, though, i start a few days late

Nobody said there was. However, it cannot be credibly discounted that there are certainly many benefits to abstaining and completely redirecting energy to other more worthwhile pursuits.

As you may see from the OP, this isn't some exercise in fear-mongering. Rather, it's a fun, slightly light-hearted approach in a positive manner. If you're up for a challenge, why not take it? It's like saying that you're going to abstain from any television or movies - nobody said they're harmless, but abstaining from them would be an exercise of self-control and experiencing an alternative mode of living.

Porn gives you inaccurate views of women and sex, giving the impession that sex in real life will be like it is in a porn scene. It leads to guilt in relationships and has no real positive effects. as far as i am concerned porn is a negative thing.

One harmful effect I can think of is acne, yes masturbating actually causes acne and impurities to some people.
Fair enough I just think that a lot of people are misinformed on the subject. You clearly aren't and kudos to you for doing it.
