This is awesome news man the science behind why girls are more interested in you when you don't have a **** the night before still boggles me
Considering that hypothesis has not been demonstrated (I've not even seen any evidence for it other than anecdote), one could hardly say there's a "science behind" it.

    though...pheromones can't be that strong!
Maybe this is all a placebo effect and it's to do with the confidence to know you can achieve great things?
Yup. While I wouldn't call not playing with your **** "great things", I would imagine that when a guy becomes interested in NoFap, he is also generally examining his life to see how he can make himself more attractive, and so is more likely to ensure he smells nice and dresses well, perhaps starts going to the gym, etc.

However, I do also believe that it demonstrates a fundamental lack of confidence in one's own personality (and perhaps genuine lack of substance), and perhaps a fundamental lack of respect for the minds of women, if you think that the putative effects of not ****ing would be the lynchpin of a prospective sexual partner's decision to sleep with you.

Porn gives you inaccurate views of women and sex
Do you have accurate views about women and sex? How would you know if your views were accurate or not? What is the unit of measurement on the accuracy scale for views on women and sex?

    (Original post by AndrewD95)
and has no real positive effects.

    orgasm = real positive effect

Idk, I'm asking people in general. But nice work anyway
    Thanks a lot

I suspect it's placebo but it's still great. How is your nofap going?

Tbf I don't think anyone's really saying that. People on nofap who notice more attention from girls put it down to placebo or just generally increased confidence etc with no direct mechanism (like I don't think anyone actually believes that pheromones go up).

IMO nofap is more of a "do it for yourself" thing which may or may not have knock on effects elsewhere.

I'm not trying Nofap yet, but I'm going to attempt No Porn to boost confidence/not feel so pathetic talking to women/improve my relationship with my girlfriend. Started yesterday
Even if I only manage a week, it's a start!

The problem with no fapping is that real life girls become so damn attractive. You become desensitized to them after watching a lot of porn but when you stop fapping, you notice all the little things about them. Just a girl in a skirt would drive me absolutely crazy. The worst time was when I was on a crammed bus and this girl, I don't know if she doing it on purpose or not, but she was literally grinding on me the entire journey. I was honestly milliseconds away from exploding and I was so glad I was wearing Jeans that day.

I went through a period of intense exercise and self examination. The result of which is I'm a healthier man with a higher sex drive and masturbate much more often.

As for being attractive to girls it's not like being a method actor where all you have to do is talk the talk and walk the walk until you believe your own bull****. You have to remember that it takes a long time to find someone and its ok to jerk off while you wait.

As the avergae human IQ goes up year on year, it gets harder to find a mate. Back when we were all basically jungle retards, we would **** like... jungle retards. Now we have big IQs for making up lots of reasons and excuses not to ****.

How long before i get the benefits of approaching women with no anxiety adn akwardness .....weeks...months
The only thing that's going to make you able to approach women with no anxiety and awkwardness is approaching women. Not masturbating may make you feel more comfortable with yourself, more confident, more positive, disciplined, etc., but it's not a magic panacea that'll automatically make you great with women - the only way you get that is by getting to a place where you see it as no big deal. As long as approaching women's a big deal to you, you'll still feel anxious and awkward.

If all it takes is you to have too much time on your hands then you'll never succeed. You can do better.

it just does, try it out. there is no scientific evidence as far as I know, no logical reason etc. but 99% of noporn/nofap people have noticed positives after a few weeks of abstinence

          Why?
I don't know but I can offer the explanation I find most likely: That these things generally increase alongside one's self-esteem, and one's self-esteem is raised by accomplishing challenges that are perceived to be difficult. I think there is also an element of expectation, i.e., suggestion or placebo.

masturbating 20 times a day is a much more honorable challenge.

          Two answers:
          1. It's not pointless if it's producing or sustaining positive changes.
          2. The perceived arbitrariness of a challenge increases its difficulty.
