    Nights are so hard ahh.
    Im so hard.. Haaaaa

lol what are the benefits of this? I need motivation
Better social life due to more proactivity. Boredom will lead you to masturbate. So you gotta be active to prevent yourself from masturbating and getting a brazzers memberwship.

We've got a failure on our hands.
I reckon I'd get to march/april and if I get a girlfriend then I'd probably go on, if not I'll cave in.

Yeah I did read it, but it does say that's just a theory. The science does still show a correlation but I think it's weak. I'm not going to try and argue that it's bad because there's not really any conclusive evidence that it might be. But you never know what research could prove in the future.
I understand your point that research could prove a link in the future, but then we could voice similar concerns about all kinds of things in every day life. Not really worth worrying about in my opinion.

    This is disappointing, comrade.

However, do you wish to restart, as per the rules?
Unfortunately I don't think it's likely I'm going to make at this moment in time, comrade. Considering I have some pretty big problems with controlling myself in general realistically it's not going to happen.
All the same, definitely going to give the principle another go (maybe just hold on for a week or so though to start with :P)

I wish you all the best in making this your most productive and liberating year

'pro'-tip: don't try and do this on no sleep, all you'll want to do is sit on your bed and tug! Early to bed, early to rise!

My mistake. Must have been an oversight. There's still a backlog, but I'll have you added in a jiffy!
No worries, sir! I thought as much

I've tried to indefinitely stop fapping twice before, and both times never lasted more than a week... bleh...

I make it 118 still in as of skyblue1991 plus 2 failures. I think at least 110 of those are male.

Reckon you could use that to keep count in the OP? And just alter it as more join and as people fail?
Yes, thankyou very much for this! +1

BTW, what were the circumstances of your failure? In what way did you fail (e.g. tugging to porn)? What led you to fail? And what did you do to fail?

    Just curious

Call me a ****ing retard, but I genuinely think this no-fap is black magic.

Today I was just having effortless anxiety-free conversations with people. I don't have social anxiety (ok, maybe the normal amount everyone else has), but my background anxiety just wasn't there today. For example, had a conversation with a girl this morning (totally platonic), who I've only ever spoken to once. Usually I'd be too nervous to speak to her cos she's shy and I hardly know her, and the last time I spoke to her I was super awkward, but today I just had an effortless conversation with her. Then I thought to myself, “something was missing... I wasn't anxious". It was really... odd.

It is allowed. Just don't fap. Just don't sexually touch down there.

It is a powerful thing, yes. As time goes on, not only will you be anxiety-free, but you will also be oozing confidence and your eyes shall almost sparkle. Take it from one who has been there!

Yeah, it's weird how doing something as simple as stopping fapping can fix all these little things and change how our mind works subconsciously - just wait what happens in a couple of weeks or months!
You'll all be running for Mayor by the end of this! I exaggerate of course, but only to emphasise how powerful it is to 'retain' oneself.

It's all going good. Personally, the extra energy I'm getting from this and also the sense of accomplishment attached to the challenge has greatly increased personal morale and so I'm getting these essays done

Long live the challenge! Long live we great men! :proud:

Tugging to procrastinate suffice to say I'm not proud, not so much of what I've done as where my discipline's gone in the space of a few years. Can't really give any more details, sorry.
    Good luck!

Here is another message relating to this challenge that I posted in another thread in reply to a curious TSR user:

    :clap2: loooool

:eek:good luck my friend, but is that healthy lol
Well of course it is - I should know; the longest I've been is 4 months. The key is redirecting that energy and "pent-upness" into productive and worthwhile pursuits/tasks. If you just abstain and not do much, you'll fail very quickly because you'll be too anxious, edgy, moody and depressed.

The status quo dictates that to 'retain' oneself isn't healthy, but this is inaccurate. Rather, it is the manner in which one 'retains' oneself that determines whether it is healthy or not. Normally, such reticence is associated with religious people, however this shouldn't be so. Religious people aren't the only ones to take such ultimate challenges and tests of self-control and willpower. Great men (such as myself) also rise to the challenge! :proud:
