    The piaggio ape 50!

It is only 50cc so 16 year olds can drive it having sat their CBT!

I am almost 16 and am desperate to drive, but don't want to drive a scooter.

Haha, I'd take anything to get around but would prefer not to use a scooter as I'm too much of a 'speed freak', and I'd probably injure myself XD

I'm almost 16 too but I think the best thing is to get lots of off-road practice in a real car, that way you'll need far fewer lessons when you're 17 and you'll be driving much sooner. That's what I've been doing anyway.

I'm getting 'young driver lessons' for my birthday, but I'd also like to be able to drive something XD

You would be way better off with a moped, or geared 50cc. Legally restricted to 30 mph, or de-restricted to 50-70 or whatever.

I'd like a moped, and there's one in the shed, but my parents think I'm too dangerous

Why do you have to do as your parents tell you?

You're too dangerous? They're afraid you might dent the moped?

Yeah same, I can control a car but learning how to do it properly/legally will be good.
