hey . i have trouble with aromatic NMr, not really alipathic, as ive been able to work that out and now understand it. but i ALWAys get the Nmr on aromatic compound questions wrong, like the complex ones and i would like love if someone whould be kind enough to give me tips on figuring out their enviroments and etc?

are there any tips as such to decrypt this son of a gun?

e,g question 4 on this paper

You should appreciate that the molecule is symmetrical with planes of reflection in the vertical and horizontal. This makes the carbon (and hydrogen) atoms that are superimposed after reflections through the planes of symmetry equivalent.

So the left hand ring is identical to the right hand ring, and within these rings the top positions are identical to the bottom postions.

Hence, there are only three different carbon environments.
