    Hi
I'm drawing a graph of time v number of bacteria that have undergone conjugation. I am unsure if i should join each dot with a ruler or without one if it looks like a curve. Could anybody explain what I should do?

    Thanks

Never do a dot to dot graph, draw a line on showing the general trend. If it looks like a curve, draw a curve. Try to minimise the distance of each point from the line whilst still keeping it smooth.
