    I don't really like the term, but my boyfriend has been offered a job that would involve touring America for four months, and he's hesitant because he doesn't want to be in a long distance relationship,
    so I was thinking about having an opal (the stone for the month we got together) split into two halves and put on the inside of two rings, so he can have something to remind him of me and to show him I'm happy to wait.
    But there's great debate among my friends as to weather I should give him the other half of the opal and allow him to have a ring made for me, or just have one made myself;
    Any ideas? Also, if you're a guy, would you wear a 'promise' ring?
