I read somewhere that if you don't get into the University you want, they might still reconsider your apply later...anyone know more about this?

It all depends on the scale of the uni and the course.

For example, it is unlikely that if u get an AAB in law/medicine and other popular courses when you have been offered AAA it is unlikely (nigh on impossible even) that you will get let in. However, if you have applied to do physics at luton (*insert any other uni of same calibre here* - quote my careers advisor in a lecture 'if u apply to do physics a luton you can right any old pile of rubbish and you'll get an offer, thats where the example comes from!) or any other course that tends to be undersubscribed then say you need CCD, you could get away with DDD or even less as if theyve got spare places theyll usually fill them full of accepted sutdents rather than clearing students.
