Standard Grade and GCSE equivalent?

Hi does anyone know what standard grades are when translated into GCSE grades? Like would standard grade 4 be a C or a D? Very confused and there's no info on it that tells you officially what it is.

Any help on this would be appreciated!

Hey,

A 3 at SG is generally considered by universities to be a C grade at GCSE, as a SG 1 tends to be considered as an A/A* grade.

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply, It makes sense makes sense that a 3 would be a C at GCSE but I can't see how the difference between a 3 and a 4 which are both general can be a C and a D at gcse. It just looks like too big a jump. I can't justify in my head that a general grade in scotland can be a D in England :s oh well I guess that's just the way it is. Thanks for the help
