For example:
I have 2 History Exams and 2 History Controlled Assessments (Coursework)
the two exams are 50% and the assessments are 50% of the overall grade.
If I had 2 C's from the exams would that make a B? And if i got 2 C's of the controlled assessments would my overall grade be an A? (as in 2 B's = A)
Thanks, Hope this isn't confusing.
I think my teacher told me this a while ago but i'm not sure if it's right.

The simplest explanation is that your final grade will be an "average" of your individual scores. So if you got 2Cs in your controlled assessments, then your current grade is a C. If you got an A, a B and a C, then you will probably have a B grade overall. If you get a C in every coursework and exam then you will get a C overall.

e.g. a C in courseworks means you probably got around 60%, or 30/50. If you get another C in the exams (60%) then that's probably 30/50. Overall, if you add these scores, you have 60/100 - which is 60%, which is a C.

If you want to post your marks/ results so far, I can tell you what you need in the exams to get a C or a B overall.
