After doing 2 halfies, I am considering a marathon... have applied to London but chances are I wont be accepted.

On your long runs, what do you eat before and after? I always got so hungry after running long distances, and if I was to start training for a full 26.2 miles then I cant imagine what my diet will have to be like!

I applaud your determination though, good luck!!!

:erm: depends

Best thing I've ever eaten before a run was before my longest ever run was an omelette and a few pieces of white bread, it gave me loads of energy for the first 17 or so miles  Then the wall came

I eat jelly babies on my runs, I eat one or two a mile to start with and then increase to 5 or sixish per mile by 12 miles, before eating as many as possible after that!

I'm always half starved by the time I finish a long run, I try to eat something like pasta to help me retrieve some blood sugar levels. I also have something like chicken with it to give me some protein to aid recovery and reduce the ache the next day!
