yes, its 80% of UMS. thats why they have a UMS, so that grade boundaries can be standardised accross all the boards.

Cheers, looks like I got a low D for that module then, (64/120), not bad considering I only actually knew 50% of the paper (50% is synoptic - didnt know this until I opened the paper). Kinda doesnt look good though...AAAAAD...gayyyyyy. This means im going to have 7 chemistry exams in the summer...7

yeah, thats the UMS marking system.
but for Chem 5 it will usually be around 70% on the exam for an A which will get you 72 UMS points.

like in my computing exam last june i missed out 3 questions. I think it was a difficult exam so the grade boundary was lowered to 68% for an A.
i got something like 92% on the exam which got me 90/90 UMS marks.

There seems to be some confusion. The UMS marks are after they have been standardised, i.e. after it has gone through the number cruncher.

How do I have 79% and an A? Apparewntly last year you needed 75 raw makr to get an A - that was out of 120...quoting from the AQA website..I thought I had done well on it though..?!
