What is the exponential function if a star expands by factor k and <insert additional incomprehensible jargon here>

We're not gonna get that :wink: lets ace this!

A small, old, relatively cool star :smile:

Do you mean a black dwarf? :smile:

Mine's at 1:15, not much more prep I can do now so I'll just go for it- either way it's my last exam before May so I can relax for a few weeks after this!

good luck every1 ...im at home ill and revising! gona go in at 11:50
I bet Car safety, stopping distances and nuclear fusion/fission as well as stars will come up (and plenty of calculations) haha :wink:
I think car safety, regenerative braking, stars and potential difference and resistance for a filament lamp will be in it.

Good luck!!
Would you be allowed to use logarithms to calculate half life, or do you have to use their step by step method?
How did you find it, guys? I thought it was a reasonable paper. I didn't know whether to put gravity or weight for the first question... I decided on weight. Will I get the mark?

so easyy :smile: what did u guys put for the 'main sequence period' question for large stars?

Yeah I think so, that's what I put :P Did you find it harder than the mock?

For the second question asking to describe the motion of the car would you get 3 marks for writing "Accelerating, because the distance between each oil drop is increasing, which shows that the velocity is changing", also what did everyone get for working out the acceleration and the distance travelled by the go-kart?

ALso did everyone get 2.2V for the current potential difference graph question?

A little easier to be honest. But knowing me I've probably made loads of stupid mistakes haha! I'm aiming for an A and I hope I've done enough, but if lots of people found it easy then the boundaries will be high... I hope they don't raise too much!
So easy :smile: :

For the frequency question with the graph I put:

1/0.04 = 25hz

For the acceleration question of J and K did you put:

a=5/3 a=1.7 (two significant figures)

For the distance under the graph question did you put:

5x3=15, 15/2 = 7.5

That was a doddle compared to the other exams although I know I lost a few marks

Same as you :P

I got those answers too! Except I didn't see the 'two significant figures' part so I left it as 1.6 with a little dot above the '6' to show it's recurring. I should only lose one mark for it, right?
