Greetings Everyone,

I have been thinking about start CIMA for a year now.
I have a degree in Accounts ( 2001) and since have I have always worked in sales and marketing.
I just want to know if it is a good idea to start CIMA at this age? Am I too old for this?

I worked in sales because was getting good money to start and then one job led to another and was happy. Now it has become very tough. I want to go back in Accounts and preferably cost/management accounts.

I know I will have to make sacrifice in salary but willing to do so.

So is it a good idea?
Many thanks for your help.

Better to do something you enjoy. You'll have a good understanding of sales and marketing which will help in the role of a management accountant.

Hello,

CIMA at 34 shouldn't be a problem at all. There are tons of mature Students at my CIMA courses - many from different and varying backgrounds ie AAT and those who have just picked it back up from years ago. If its your true desire then I say go for it!
