I'm in my second year of A levels studying Media and Sociology but I've come to realise I really want to become a doctor. I was a fool when I first started sixth form, I didn't know what I wanted to become and now I regret my choices.

I'm going to be 18 in June and was wondering if it would be possible to study Biology, Chemistry and Physics starting from A/S? Would there be any costs incurred because I'm going to be 20 by the time I finish A level?

I achieved a B in science and C in additional science at GCSE. The results were lacklustre because I really neglected my GCSE's but I'm confident I could achieve much higher at A/S.

I'm saying it's possible because I go by the rule that nothing is impossible.
But the chances are low. Very low to study Medicine for a degree :s but it's not the only degree you could study to become a doctor (although others would take longer).

Hey, what's the fun if you don't dream high. Go for it if you would have no regrets.

I may just give it ago. If I don't succeed I won't be disappointed as ill only have wasted 1 year and I will only be 19 by the end of it. Won't feel too embarrassed.

There's a few extended medical degrees for students who haven't studied science courses, so you won't need to re-do alevels.
I think Manchester and Bristol do one, but not sure tbh, have a look on google

But yes, if you really want to do it, by all means go for it! Good luck!
