HELPPPP!

my c3 exam is tomorrow!! imediate HELP required!
so in chapter 7 when using R form, Rsin(x-a).. maximum/minimum value would be +R or -R, what do they mean by the smallest positive value for x or theta? how do i calculate it ?????????????????

As you mentioned the maximum value is R, it is because sin(x-a) = 1, vice versa.

sin(x-a) = 1
x-a = pi/2

And......

sin(x-a) = -1
x-a = -pi/2

Hope it helps.
