Depends what your into really! wot music u into etc?

Yea it all depends on what youre looking for as newcastle has a lot to offer!! There are places to go if you want max alcohol for min price, or if you want a classy joint, or cocktail bars. And again should you want to go to a club it ll depend on what night you are up and the music you are in to. Let us know and im sure some1 can point you in the right direction!

Hi - thanks

The max alcohol at cheap prices sounds good - always helps. Just what bars have a good atmosphere etc.

As for clubs, dance music mostly.

Sorry, I know its difficult to advise, like you say, big place with a lot to offer.

The cheap warmup places are spoons at central station, the goose near haymerkt (cheapeest place in the world!) also got the gate which has a fair few bars in like lloyds etc.

Dobsons is maximum acolhol for minimum price like, in the week its 3 trebles for 5.90 dont what it is at weekend.

As for dance envy is good on a friday but its pretty small, ikon is right next door is alot bigger but alot of scallys init sometimes at weekends, Digital is quality aswell got drum n bass on most fridays or some top dj's bit more hardcore than your commercial stuuff but its quality! it is expensive to get in digital though on a friday!

Thank you!

No no no, don't go to Digital cause last time my friends and I went we were charged a tenner each to get in and it was pretty crap compared to some clubs where you can usually get in for free! Definitely head down to the Quayside; also if you get really out of it you should try the gay scene round the Centre for Life because there's a tiny bar there called Bank with a transvestite DJ who is quality!

It's amazing :p: best place to go on a monday!, mix of newc and northumbria students, different music played, different rooms, generally a good night out in my opinion.

The Fourth's good for a few drinks. Has a good indie DJ on a Friday.

Red Rooms plays some awesome music on a Friday too.

Tiger Tiger is good...drinks are expensive but inside is amazing..so many diff little places to discover!! theres a "club", couple of bars on different floors, and loads of seating areas hidden away!!

also recommend Bulletproof at Carling Academy if you're into Indie...I'm not but still enjoyed myself!!

can't go far wrong with a few drinks (happy hour's) on osbourne rd/Mr Lynches on a friday evening then off in to town to Budda at foundation. quality fun and not very expensive.

Hi, me and three other lads are coming up to Newcastle for my mates 25th birthday. We have never been up before and wondered where was good places to go. We are coming up in the half term, mon 26th Oct- fri 30th 2009. As we won't be here for the weekend I wanted to know whether it would still be busy in the week? I imagine there will be a lot of student nights on? Does anyone know if you need student ID to get into these bars/clubs? We also need things to do in the day, all of us are into are sport, music etc so any recommendations? Cheers Scott
