Should I go sixth form or college?

Hi, I am not sure which place I should go to once I have finished year 11, so can anyone help and tell me what their experience was like at college or sixth form? And if I decide to go to college would I be able to go to uni after...or would I only be able to do that if I went to sixth form instead?

I am also wanting to do something business related if that helps with my choice of going sixth form or college.

You can go to uni if you go to college or sixth form.

There are pros and cons to both. If you stay on at sixth form, you know the teachers, the layout of the building, etc. But if you go college, you won't have to put with the younger years.

I chose to go a college over a sixth form for numerous reasons:
- I was a bit fed-up of the childish people in my year
- The college offered an atmosphere more like uni than sixth form
- I could walk there

Now i'm there I absolutely love it! I have small class sizes (less than10) whereas sixth form has 30+. You are treated more like an adult there and you get to meet a wider range of people

Sixth form actually has small classes too, all of mine are less than 10.. my friend is in a class where he's the only one! Classes start off big in sixth form, but a majority drop it and they end up a nice size!
Do what I did, try to find a Sixth Form College, offers the best from both. You get mature people around your age, more help then you get at college and (depending on the course) reasonable class sizes.

It's the best way.

oops, sorry I forgot to say I was talking about the sixth form near where I live haha!
Sixth form and college are practically the same thing (from my understanding anyway, do correct me if I am wrong). The only difference is whether you stay at the same place you went to school or move to another place. There are obviously pros and cons for each of these. For instance, if you stay on where you went to school you will undoubtedly still see the younger years still in school and you will know the teachers, the building etc. At college, you are in a new environment etc. You can go to university from both and can gain the same qualifications from both (possibly depending on what you wanted to do), it depends on what you'd prefer

If you have a certain uni you're interested in, look up what exactly the uni requires for you to get in and then look into both sixth form and college courses to see which offers you the best for what the uni is asking for! I chose sixth form because it's only a 5 minute walk and know my way around and know all of the teachers etc, whereas college is a 20 minute walk followed by a 20 minute bus journey and another short walk.. add on the £10 a week bus money and it's just a lot of hassle! From my experience, sixth form tend to get better results than college - the most brainiest of my friends at college failed their first year, because teacher's are so laid back there that they seem to have less care, whereas teacher's at sixth form tend to be more serious, although they still treat you like an adult which is good! The only downside it the younger years, they're so annoying! That's just my experience though, the colleges and schools might be different where you are
youre right my class is 10 students and my friend is only 5
