It'd be better to split the UK up, thus:

    - Westcountry
    - South
    - South East
    - Midlands
    - East Anglia
    - Wales
    - North East
    - North West
    - Scotland
    - N. Ireland

Happily, that's 10 and would fit on a pole. Additionally, so we can see where people are from, make it public.

That is, if anyone can be bothered.

Why have both South and South East, covering a small area of the country, and then have North East covering all of the area from the Scottish border to Yorkshire?

Im from Stockport. Home to David Dickinson, the Royale Family (the TV series), and two members of Girls Aloud. Its like Manchester, but with more rain and 60s-type grey buildings.

Where is Stockport? In the case of most, nobody knows, and by god does nobody cares!!! But, its my home and I still love it!

Purely going on population density of the respective areas.

How on earth did you decide what counties to put on your poll? Was it just random?

    Hertfordshire
