i read something in the Times a while back that said that the less popular degree subjects (modern langs etc) were getting funding cut by like 30% or something- it went on to say how supervisions are now taught in groups of 3/4 as opposed to 1/2 in some colleges, and classes in things like italian have been increased to 30 ppl+ because the can't afford to teach more than one class or something? wondering if there was any truth to this claim?
