i dont really understand what wavelets are. our teacher told us to read about them, because he 'wont teach' us about them. thanks alot state school! the text book is useless, and i cant find anything on the net.

basically is it not some simple conceptual idea about wave fronts propergating from a source or summat?

anyone know what they really r and how they work?

Try searching for 'Huygens' Wavelets' on the internet. They are difficult to explain on here as they require diagrams and my scanner is not operational at the moment.
