Route to work in sonography

Hi I was wondering if anyone knew the route to become a sonographer?
I have a HNC in health studies which I think won't amount to much help.
and advice would be appreciated.

You need a degree in diagnostic radiography, then you'll need to do post-graduate work in ultrasound.

cant you do it via therapeutic radiography too?

I believe so, but a diagnostic course offers ultrasound placement time and theory, so it's probably the preferred route. There's no right or wrong way though.

okay thanks :smile: I heard that you can get in the course via other health subjects like nurse and midwifery too but im not 100% sure

Same i want to get a degree in child nursing and then do a post grad in medical ultrasound
