    Same. The 2 unis I put down on my UCAS form were York and Lancaster. I was a dead cert on Lancaster until I visited York, the style is similar but york has a much better overall reputation than Lancaster, which is why I chose it over Lancaster.

    now that i have made lancs my 1st choice, which college should i apply for?

    i have heard pendle's the best

    Obviously its a matter of opinion. It just didnt "float my boat" if you see what I mean and my girlfriend hated it too .

    Its the most expensive. There are some new accomodation blocks for some colleges opening this year, it perhaps worth finding out which they are they will prob be better than pendle.

    Yeah it was really grotty, like a warren made of a multistory carpark, you know just cold concrete, little daylight, posters everywhere. Looked really tacky. ...at least in the centre, some of the colleges were gross. Plastic chairs and a school table constituted a dining room. Tiny pokey rooms, need i go on.

    I think it depends on the person. I didn't particularly like it it but my best friend loved it and has put Lancaster as her firm.
