Asian People at Uni

Which uni has a high proportion of (british) asian people to white... i know that London Unis such as UCL and Kings have a high poportion (is this true?) but was generally wondering what the proportion is in Nottingham and Warwick. When i talk about asian, i mean british born indian, chinese etc.
If you're asian at an uni mentioned above (UCL,Warwick and nottingham) which uni u at and how would you say the social life is?
What course u doin?( i hope to do economics at either nottingham or UCL but can' t make my mind up and i want the right balance of ethnic population at uni- i'm britsh born indian myself).
What do asians on this board hope to do at uni and at which uni?

Nottingham has alot of non british asians as they have a subsidiary uni in malaysia or somewhere. UCL when i visited seemed alot more multi racial.

Why does it matter? im sure non asians will be equally as fun to mix with.

Sorry... its not that i did not want to mix with non-asians, but just was wondering if there will be large societies catering for asians.....such as the hindu society or more specifically the bhangra society !!! lol

I'm chinese, grew up in britain. Going to UCL to do Economics. I doubt you need to worry about lack of asians doing economics, from what I've seen there are floods of them going for economics.

As for the society thing, if it doesn't exist you can always set one up

And how's about the blending? I heard that in some unis the asians, particularly the orientals, stick pretty much to themselves. I hope to avoid this, I prefer unis where there's a lot of blending. How's LSE at this?

it is natural to stick together around your own race, you wont find one university thats different to others where there is a perfect blend

Big P - i think your best bet will be UCL - i have a lot of Asian medic friends there and they have an Asian society and good night life - also you get to go to the other London Uni events such as QMW, Kings etc - also UCL's Econ dept is supposedly better than Nottingham's.
I too wanna do Economics - and to be honest ..think you'll find loads of Asians doing the subject! :-)
