I'd have too agree with you but then I suppose if I went to study in another country with a different culture/ language I would probably end up hanging out with other brits.

I'm Chinese and I purposely chose a uni that didn't have ANYONE from my country. I've chosen to go to Durham because people over here don't really like to go to northern unis.. preferring places like Nottingham, Southampton and Bristol etc or the London ones.
Like LSE is SWAMPED with people from over here. If they can't get into Oxbridge for subjects like Law, then LSE is the next place because it's just their mentality. Ugh. I would hate being stuck with people I've known all my life...

nottingham uni has arguebly the highest prportion of overseas students outside of london alot of thai etc,and its increasing at a fast rate with more bases being built in china
nottingham trent university has al high proportion of british born asians such as indians and pakistanis.
is that a fair assement rah?????
