Got an oral mock in a couple of weeks and just wanted to see if anyone has any notes on the cultural topic, in my case 'Weidervereinigung' and also the film 'Das Leben der Anderen' or any of the topics from the course. I just want to see what people come up with. thanks

Hey I am doing both of these topics for my A2 exam too. My speaking is in less than two weeks! Do you have much on these two topics or are you starting off now?

Hi! I'm doing Germany 1945-1990 and the play "Der Besuch der alten Dame" by Durrenmatt.

I've just been answering questions to do with the topics making vocab mind-maps and researching in German as much as I can for the topics.

For 'Wiedervereinigung' I can recommend this site: http://www.dw.de/aufgabe-wiedervereinigung/a-5337492 It has really good resources and articles on that are great for general information and for translation (after we've got this speaking exam done and dusted).

Notes wise I've just been answering questions on the topics, making mind-maps (oh fun) and I'm just going to be doing pages on separate people, quotes etc that I need to know.

Deutsche Welle is a really handy site with articles etc on so you can do reading/translation and learn stuff! Woot! http://www.dw.de/aufgabe-wiedervereinigung/a-5337492

In my oral exam on Friday, I was asked this -
why did I find this time period interesting/uninteresting
how did west germans feel when the wall went up
would I have lived to live in west/east germany
what importance did Willy Brandt and seine neue Ostpolitik have on the situation
were there any advantages to living in east germany?

---

is Das Leben der Anderen a political film?
is the film only for German people?
what do I think of Wiesler?
Is Christa Maria unsympathetic?
Does she bring this all on herself by taking the tablets?
Why does she turn against Dreyman?

hope this helps!
