I only really tried when I was 17, and most of the times I did I could get away with it without ID. But now I'm 19 I get ID'ed about half the time. Weird!
15, I was taken for a drink by some sixth form girls (woot!) in some dodgy Irish bar.

First time I got served, was in a pub after my yr 11 leaving presentation. So aged 16.

And before they changed the licensing laws me and my friends managed to get away with it a lot of the time, with some very nifty little tricks
15, it was in the swan on a Saturday afternoon, don't go there very often anymore, they do buy 1 get 1 free between 2-5 so all the chavvy people go and get pissed all afternoon, it's packed to the rafters, the musics so loud you can't hear anybody talk, but it is nice when it's sunny, everyone goes outside. I was always terrified of the bouncers walking around though

When i was 16 i went to a nightclub which i dont know how i managed as i onli looked about 12, i get ID'd more now im 20 than when i was underage!

I got served in many places aged 16. Sometimes I got the feeling that the person serving me knew I underage, and just served me anyway. Off licenses seemed to be easier than pubs.

hm proably about 15. the bar person was pretty dense so no supprise.
although i know how to fake connextions cards so its no problem anymore

15 yrs at XLs in Birmingham (a rock club, now closed down).

Just a bit of make up and some skimpy clothes did it every time................... Now I'm 22 and can't served anyf***ingwhere! Apparently I have a face that makes me look 5 years younger, which means I must have looked 10 when I was going to XLs.

Coster Mongers and Eddies in Brum are crap for this. I've been going to their places for years and they still insist on ID everytime I see them. Gits.

When did you first get served alcohol underage and where? (assuming you did).

I managed to pull it off only about a month ago at a pub. Since I look pretty young I usually always get Id'd most times.
I've been going to the pub every now and then (more often now) since a couple of months before my 16th birthday. So, 15.

That's what I don't get! It's usually the kids who make the big effort to dress up like that when they go out, students don't bother so much...so why is it so effective?

i dont think it is that effective any more

Well I am not sure if they will work anymore. But me and my friends used to do the really obvious tricks such as go to the off-licence with big 18th birthday badges on, and that usually worked. Or again if we wanted to buy a drink from an off-licence we would get one person to play the ''driver'' and the other the indecisive friend and the ''driver'' would say something like '' oh hurry up and choose a bottle I am parked on a yellow line'' and then the indecisive friend would just grab a bottle and pay no problemo .

Or in a pub we occasionally if desperate would take a bottle to the bar, that someone had just finished with and ask for another, then the person behind the bar already assumes you’ve been ID'ed in order to buy the first.

Not that I condone any of these methods  it also has quite a lot to do with confidence.
I was 14/15 (might've been just after my 15th birthday).

Went out with my friend, her mum dropped us off and then went out. She picked us up at 11pm. We did get in 2 bars and a club in that time, though!
Aged 15 in some Chav hell-hole/working mens club in Buckley (it's not funny, it wasn't even retro, just a squigy carpeted pit)... was my yr11 leavers do, i brought whisky lol...
