Please can someone solve this ? I can't do it :/

    Thanks
    (80000x1.04^n)-(130000x(1.04^n-1)=0 what is n
the arrow sign means power to n
In the second part the -1 bit is not included in the power

    express this as:

    8 \times10^{4} \times1.04^{4}-13 \times10^{4} \times(1.04^{n}-1)=0

now take out the factor of 10^4 and multiply through to get:

    8 \times1.04^{4}-13 \times1.04^{n}+13=0

now take 13 over to the other side, re-factorise the LHS taking 1.04^n out as a factor, getting:

    1.04^{n}(-5)=-13

    the rest should be easy...
