Going back to COLLEGE

Hi there,

I'm not entirely sure where to post this so sorry if this is the wrong place!

Basically, I'm thinking about going back to college to do an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing and then following on to do a level 3 (each 1 year, so 2 years in total).
I've already been and completed college but I'm contemplating following a different route in life and feel going back to college is the way to do this.

The issue is I will be 19 when the course starts and don't live with my parents so I was wondering whether there is any financial help available for things such as rent and bills?
I'm currently claiming jobseekers allowance so believe this means the course fees are covered?

In order to gain financial help with living costs you will probably have to apply directly to your college for support. From my understanding they assess your situation and decide how much support you require. You would be best off popping down to the college and speaking to student services yourself :smile:

Are you doing an apprenticeship? If so, you'll get paid for this.
