If it makes you feel any better, be glad that you have somewhat liberal parents, because in other families, parents would quite literally beat the living daylights out of them.

Not the best way to go forward, but still..
    yeah I know
thing is my parents know i worked hard and the fact i slipped by a grade in two exams out of the 4 means i have the resits, so i think they feel more sorry for the fact ive got to do them :/
also, i lack alot of confidence in myself so haha that really helps! if i wasn't able to get the grades for it, they'd have given up with me a while ago and encouraged me to do something else

blerghhhhh! stupid gove and insisting less A need to be given out

Hey, it's good that you at least got two out of the and wish you the best of luck with your resits. Good thing you have supportive parents. My dad was never really supportive, but more like "You should get A's" etc... but nice to know that your parents feel somewhat sorry for you, and Im not sure how you'd be able to do other subjects if you got a worse grade than you expected? (Because you said "encouraged me to do something else")

    EDIT:

It's also aparrently "international womans day today"

So thought I'd put this in here:

I meant if they knew I could do the a-levels I chose, they would have encouraged me not to take them. French for instance GCSE was a fluke for me, I couldnt do it, so if i did for whatever reason decide i wanted to do it, they'd probably say don't, same with course i've applied for.
Like oxford is a good example, my school told me to apply, but my parents knew even if I get in, i dont have the confidence and the mindset to cope there, so told me not to (but i know i wouldnt be suited there and their medical course is rubbish)

But my opinion on kids is different. What you meansss?
ahhaha, what I meaningsss is, that you said about people conforming to what society expects, thats what I said about having kids . Of course, there are literally a million things society expects us to conform to, I was just talking about one, you were talking about another variable

Congratulations on your UMS mark, but I would strongly recommend trying to get a better UMS mark as it'll most defiantly ease some pressure and stress for unit 2.

Oh, it's completely up to you then. If you're happy with your current UMS mark then it's fine, but if you wish to improve it then you can.

It'd just be an extra exam for you to revise for when you could be revising for other subjects that really need the attention.

I'd just work super hard for the june paper and not bother resitting - its an A and unit 2 most of my friends did better -both because they enjoyed it more and worked hard for it
Focus the extra attention on your other AS exams and aim for the highest AS UMS scores as possible.
One friend at A2 only needs a D in her June paper to to get an A overall (although she needs an A*)

Oh right, I thought you was going to be banned due to rule-breaking.

I understand your reasons, but hope to see you come back some day.
