Well lately at uni i've become victim to what i call mini-panic attacks due to a number of stress inducing reasons; let me explain why

next couples of weeks i have 2 assignment deadlines and for both of them i don't really know what to do, got an assignment presentation today (that i'm kinda ok with) oh lets not forget the other two assignments i have due in in about 4 - 6 weeks add to the fact that i've been feeling really depressed latley due to the fact that i can't be with the girl i love: this leads me to feel really depressed, starting to cry which adds to the mini-panic attack so i then have a small nervous breakdown crossed with a mini-panic attack, these are not common for me, it just happens at really bad times mainly

It's all becoming to much and my coping methods don't seem to work that well (medidation with deep slow breathing) not sure what i can do, don't think seeking help will do much as i won't have any time to really get any coping mechanisms down

Take a deep breath, go out for a walk, and talk to your friends it is normal to stress about deadlines the work load at university is a lot but you have to cope with it.

If you're getting in a flap over assignments make yourself a timetable. I get the same, I often can't complete a piece of work without crying/convincing myself I can't do it first. If you just sit and read the material over and over, about three times usually before writing anything down, I find it really helps. I just finished an essay without crying (big achievement I know...) but I just read loads before I tried to write it. Don't get ahead of yourself, just sit and learn the material. Timetable your time so you're spending long enough on each piece. If you've left it late then you might have to do some late nights but remind yourself that you CAN do it and it'll be over soon. You'll feel so much better when it's done.

Regarding the other issues, maybe see if your uni offers a counselling service. Might help you to have a chat with someone about how you feel.

thanks for the advice, and my course doesn't have a lot of material, it's a computer based course (AI and Robotics) and i have been to a counciler and they didn't really help too much (might have been because i was confused myself at the time)

Is there anyone on your course you could ask for help?

yea, and i might do just that, just that for both of the assignments that i'm not sure how to do, the rest of the group are in the same boat, and there are only about 7 people on our course (yes very small i know)
