White middle class females are the least feminist! Watch

I will tell you why I have this opinion. Firstly I live in a graduates house with 5 white middle class females. From their general chuntering I have come to the conclusion that they just want to get with a male that earns more than them and will pay for the vast majority of the mortgage, bills, entertainment costs etc....I am pretty sure they get this because they come from homes where the dad was the main bread winner and the mum stayed at home. It's like they don't feel capable of getting their wishes on their own, they feel like a male will have to do it for them because they're not capable.

My mum and 2 sisters are white middle class females and they're exactly the same. Generally most true feminists I know that actually are feminists and not just say it to look big and clever are from poorer backgrounds maybe even single mothers.

I will probably go into further details of why I believe this and with more examples.

You've mentioned eight females, that's some highly extensive research!

Couple of quotes from the females in my house

''I wouldn't get with anyone who earns less than me''..housemate and sister both said this.

''I want to get with a rich bloke so I can work 3 days a week, even if he is a bit ugly''

One is a member of match.com and has minimum earn on the search as 40k

When I go out with them and lets say I get a round of drinks..it then becomes their turn to buy a round in and they genuinely have a look of horror on their faces and begrudgingly get a round in.

Say you want equal pay etc but expect more from a male or just want to be submissive in the relationship...you decide!

I don't call myself a feminist and I'm about as working class/lower class/whatever as it gets. Certainly not middle class.

You surveyed five females, plus your mum and sisters. On the basis of this vast dataset, you published your conclusions.

I read it and what you're trying to say still makes no sense. I'm clearly not the only person with this view.

Quite a lot of people would marry someone rich to not have to work, this doesnt mean that they dont believe in equality. I'm a male but if I married a billionaire I wouldnt work anymore. This doesn't mean I view her as superior to me.

So let me get this straight. Your data sample for this opinion doesn't consist of any feminists, yet you draw conclusions about where the feminists are?

Despite this demographic's supposed superior academic abilities they are very underrepresented in certain (usually quite high-earning) professions, such as:

    *software engineering,
    *civil engineering,
    *offshore petroleum work,
    *derivatives trading,
    *nuclear maintenance.

Don't rub it in too much though. They may cite sexism.

I'm from an upper middle class background and most of the people I grew up with are not particularly feminist. I would say I'm more conservative than most of them. Same goes for the 'upper class' people I know.

My impression is that a lot of regular middle class people are feminist, as well as perhaps lower middle class. I think of middle class as middle though. Not rich, not poor. Normal, average. Middle class families don't necessarily have the father as the breadwinner, both parents need to work.

Although your sample is very small, it is generally true that wealthier families are often more conservative, old wealth in particular. Conservative people are less likely to be feminist. I regard female qualities as highly as male ones. What that means is that I consider mothering skills to be important and I would want to be able to stay home with children. That would require my future husband to earn a lot. Most men I date are from families with a large inheritance, they're also educated and dedicated in their work. They seem to want to be number one at their job, and they prefer women like myself. No man I have ever desired have seemed inclined to date a feminist, so it's win win. Most of the guys I know with good jobs are dating sweet, feminine women whom are not promiscuous. I don't support female sexual promiscuity and I don't think women should be influenced to dominate 'male' fields of work to prove their "worth". I can't say exactly how this is related to my background, but back home being socialist and feminist goes hand in hand, so those are the same people I have loathed all my life. Of course if you have inheritance, you are more free to pursue whatever work you'd like. I can choose something that is in line with my natural (feminine) interests, something creative, esthetic etc. I don't have to go corporate to make a living. Which is probably why you see upper middle and upper class girl studying art, fashion and other fields where it's difficult to get a job.

In my experience there are plenty of men who want to get with pretty girls who will happily take a back seat to their interests and careers without expecting their husbands/partners to value their mind

So I guess they will match up with your girls and everyone will be happy

The fact that they want a different lifestyle to the one I want is hardly an issue

The last two posts are pretty good and give fairly good summaries of what I have witnessed with my own eyes. Females from middle, upper middle etc backgrounds tend to look for a partner that earns lots and they then take a more 'traditional' role. Hence me saying more submissive and least feminist.

The likes of WAGs and gold diggers are generally looked down upon....but that is essentially what a lot of middle class/upper middle females are like, they're just not super model good looking to pull footballers/celebrities/millionaires so they go for the next best thing who are high earning city workers.

It is actually ridiculous the response I get from females from just wearing different clothes...if I wear a suit for work they really obviously check me out, if it is raining or cold I wear a high vis jacket that is really warm and I look like a council worker and they look at me like I am filth. My journey to work is just me generally laughing at the ridiculous responses I get from females.

What on earth do you mean by "next best thing". WAGs are not super models. They're lower class girls and they're usually not very attractive (perhaps by British standards, but not by international ones). They are tacky as hell and they'll settle for anyone with money who can get them a bit of fame.
A millionaire from old money who's educated and well-mannered is rated WAY above a football player. Most upper middle class girls wouldn't touch a guy like that. They would perhaps take a tennis player or Formula 1 driver. But you'd never see Florence Brudenell-Bruce with a footballer.
For girls with options, footballers and their WAGs are scraping bottom. Their language, style and manners are foul and they have zero education. The wives of successful, educated men are leagues above WAGs.

i wanna work but i don't want to HAVE to work, like i want to be with someone comfortale so that my job is not a necessity. i don't want to be the breadwinner.

but at the end of the day it's all pie in the sky, if i ended up falling in love with someone with a low wage packet, then that's who i fall in love with. i don't vet people's incomes or potential future incomes when i fancy them.

But I think many do and I think you will going off your first paragraph.

I literally don't understand the mentality of I went a nice house, nice cars, nice holiday etc but I don't want to achieve that myself I will just get with someone to provide that. Why do you feel you're incapable of doing these things your self and need a male to achieve them for you? To me that is exactly why you're not remotely feminist.

Feminists don't stand a chance because a good chunk of their fellow females feel inferior to males.

I do agree with what you put. The WAGs and footballer example was wrong. But once again thanks for your honesty....wealth is a huge attraction to middle class/upper middle/upper class females which you are honest about.

I just find it an alien concept, I have never been attracted to someone due to the money they earn or ever crossed my mind. In a society where equal pay is now the norm, I find it strange that if a female wanted a nice house and car etc why she just wouldn't try and achieve that herself, rather than just expecting a male to do it for her...seems like a lack of self belief and feel they're the inferior sex.
