Help!! I m in yr12 currently doing my As and coming up to the point of choosing options to continue next year, I hope to apply for dentistry, but I m stuck on which As to drop.
I m doing chemistry, biology, maths, art and general studies, I want to drop art because its just too much work for A2, but I m worried that if I drop art then I wouldn't have enough UCAS points...
Oh, and I already have a Chinese Alevel at grade A...
Please give me some advises of which one to drop!! Many thank!!!

    Hi,

Please try and create your own thread, or find a suitable FAQ/stickied thread to ask questions in. I've just noticed you've made a few posts in the 2013 applicants thread and this is supposed to be for those applying for 2013 entry. Thanks.

Also, is Chinese your first language? If so, it probably won't be considered. It may not be considered anyway as you did not do it at the same time as the other subjects. Your subjects usually need to be taken simultaneously (ie. three or four A-levels taken during the same two year period).

Why do you worry you won't have enough "UCAS points". Offers are generally made based on grades, and three full A-levels (alongside the one AS) is sufficient. Chemistry, Biology and Maths at A-level, with Art as an AS level, is fine.

Yeah, thought the same about my Chinese... Haha! I want to drop general studies, but then I just think that art is too much work, and I rather just force on the 3 science like what you have done... For my school if I drop art, I have to do general studies at A2, but there are no lessons...
Argh!! I have to give the reply slip for the options in on this Friday, this so so annoying...
