Hi, During the Medicine webinar on TSR in the Autumn, I'm pretty sure that one of the admissions team at KCL said that they don't usually give out deferred offers for A100 up front, but generally are happy to defer direct offers if requested to later on in the year.

I am very interested in applying to King's but would apply this October for Deferred entry i.e. 2015 as my planned gap year project (healthcare related) means I would be out of the UK during interview season.

Could you confirm if applications for deferred entry are considered less favourably than for direct entry? Do they have a lower success rate?

    Hi Soraia,
Your application will be considered in exactly the same way as other applications. If successful, you will then be able to defer your offer until the following year. The one issue I can see is that before you receive an offer you will have to be interviewed in London. Interviews are held between November and March. Perhaps it's worth you speaking to someone in Admissions directly about your situation? Their contact information is here:

    Tel 020 7848 6501/6502

    Good luck

    Thanks,
    Sabi
