No idea which halls to pick! Darley Bank looks nice, but the £99 a week is for 50 weeks which is silly! Any one recommend any?

I'm picking Nunnery Court or St Christopher's, mainly because they are close to my campus. )

The only downside to them being is new is that you don't know the level of service you'll receive from the landlords &amp; wardens. Another is you don't know how thick/thin the walls will be, how sturdy the furniture is, how quickly things will be fixed if broken, how the cleaners are... etc. That's why I stuck to halls, anyway. <img src="images/smilies/smile.png" border="0" alt="" title="" smilieid="1" class="inlineimg" />

Its funny you mention this as me and my gf have a studio there together, we were worried about the noise but we didnt realise how aound proofed they were. We went in and tried talking in different rooms and couldnt hear each other. We only did this as we live in nunnery court and st christophers now and its well noisy on certain nights. Its ok as you have to expect it in halls with parties etc but you can hear everything which can be annoying when exams are next day! :/ ... Just room for thought.

My friends have told me the sound proofing in halls is really bad. Plus by the sounds of it the rooms are soooo much better at Darley Bank. Surely if its a new build well get the opposite and the building will be looked after. who else has booked here?

Yeah ive booked there rooms are outstanding! Aldo for me having heating you can control is amazing!! Halls are cold in winter and way too hot in summer :/ . . And darly bank is having good wifi internet in halls its terrible and they are only just putting wifi in halls so will have issues. Darley bank is just amazing compared to halls and im a second year so i know how bad halls can be.
