I'm in year 12 and looking into careers, and looking into Marketing/Entrepreneurship/Advertising! My dad owns businesses and so i've been brought up with it really, but wanted more information. Is it quite easy to find jobs, in the UK but also abroad? (i'm looking into taking a year study abroad or working abroad for a year) AND is the pay good? THANKS! is there any tips for wok experience that I could be doing now, or uni's that are good?

I can't say for entrepreneurship or advertising, but marketing is a really fun role to be in and its becoming ever more important at the moment in a lot of sectors.

I personally didn't go to uni (I'm studying with the OU purely for myself and not career prospects) but would recommend getting experience with inhouse departments and agencies because they're very differen and you might prefer one to the other. You should also try and get experience in a variety of marketing areas - SEO, copywriting, design... to see which you like.

I study Business Management and specialise in Enterprise. I got my placement abroad in Berlin which has loads of opportunities because of how many start-ups there are here. I think most businesses always have demand for marketing as its proven to increase sales.

My Enterprise modules are also really great, in my second year we got to essentially create a business plan for a company we came up with ourselves. One guy even decided to start his own idea up in practice.

If you are interested in business type careers I would say go for it! Do remember that business is always primarily office based though. My job is 9 hours in an office mon-fri which can get a bit boring if the weather is nice outside.
