Recently I received 4 conditionals for Strathcylde university to do Forensic Biology or Pharmacology or Pharmacology & Immunology or Immunology & Microbiology. My condition requires an A in higher Biology. I am still waiting for Glasgow Caledonian to get back to me about Pharmacology. Anyway I feel like I was rushed into making decisions about my future and now after having time to properly research and look at courses I think I have picked the completely wrong course. I have done a large amount of research and am certain I wish to study Fire Risk Engineering at Glasgow Cali. I regret the fact I didn't apply to this and have started looking at clearing or going to college for a year. However if i were to apply through clearing I would need to sent Cali a revised Personal Statement, I was wondering if anyone knows if they would accept this? Also any advice on what I should do? Or if anyone actually does the course? Also if anyone has applied through clearing to this course? Or even another course? Thanks for anyone who could help, Im very stressed so any advice is much appreciated.

I have a friend in the same position, and she found that when she will apply through clearing, her original statement will be sent off, but if she emails her new statement to the universities she's going to reapply to, then they will change her statement over for her. It depends on the university as to whether they want to accept it, but apparently they're quite lenient with clearing places if you contact them quickly.
If you're still not sure, why not take a year out and try and get some work experience in the fields you're looking at? It might mean you're more comfortable going to uni the year after, and you can earn some money while you're at it. There's no point paying all those fees if you don't actually enjoy it.
Best of luck!!
