Maintenance grant but NOT maintenance loan?

Hi, I don't know if this is possible but... I want to apply for a maintenance grant NOT the maintenance loan - can I do that? Or do I have to have the loan in order to get the grant too? :s-smilie:

Also, how do I apply for the grant? Online it mentions if I say no to the tuition fee loan and the maintenance loan I will automatically get the maintenance grant. How does this work? I want the tuition fee loan just not the maintenance loan.

you ask for an income assessed process and apply for a loan but put £0 as the amount.
