CCEA AS Music Exam

Hello,

For CCEA Music there are two sections (written/listening). The written section is split into an essay section and another question.

For the essay question you must chose an area of study (for my school is was "The Musical") however I answered the question on "Music for Solo Piano". So I wonder if I could lose marks for doing that. Are the area of studies selected by the school before doing the exam or can you just decide when you get the paper?

Thanks!
