Basically, I got my results from the January exams today and I was pretty disappointed. Got a D in C1 maths and a D in unit 1 in Physics. I'm aiming for A/B in all my subjects as my final AS levels and I'm wondering if it's possible to bump both the grades up to B/A in my summer resits?

    YES.

I honestly don't know if that'll happen, but the only thing for us to do is try. I got a very disappointing grade, when I knew I put my absolute all into it, but I'm going to resit.

Resit, do again, achieve. It's better to try and fail than to miss your chance and fail anyway.

    WE CAN DO IT.

A D shows a decent understanding of the subject area. Give it your all and push for a great grade this Summer . If you feel disheartened, sometimes, to put it bluntly, you just have to deal with it, acknowledge that you ****ed up and move on. It's perfectly reasonable - you just have to believe that too!

Very possible! I got two disappointing results so will also be resitting. Hopefully, the motivation to defeat disappointing grades and to achieve excellent results is with you! You need that motivation! And the work is going to be hard and there'll be very little spare time to do the things you enjoy but my god, think how good it'll feel when you smash the exams and look at the amazing results on results day!

Best of luck to you You can do it!

It was only your first set of A-level exams, when I had mine, I did crap, and today the AS students got either U's or A's... literally... I got D's all of last year, and I managed to pull them up to C's- which were a mark off a B, if i get an A in next exam, then I'll get a B overall. It's so do-able... and in English, I had a D last year, and got an A this year... just shows really, don't be disheartened!!
