I'm doing F325 in june, and last week in class we went over definitions and found that there were over 30 that we needed to know! :s For F324 it was only around 8 to learn. Crazy stuff!

    1) Lattice enthalpy is the enthalpy change when 1 mole of an ionic compound is formed from its gaseous ions under standard conditions
    2) enthalpy of hydration is the enthalpy change when 1 mole of isolated gaseous ions is completely dissolved in water to form 1 mole of gaseous ions under standard conditions.
    3) enthalpy of solution is the enthalpy change when one mole of ionic compound is completely dissolved in water.
    4) transition metal is (one or more) ions that can form a partially(incomplete) filled d sub shell
5)ligand is a metal or ion that can donate a lone pair of electrons to a transition metal ion forming a coordinate bond.
    6) dont get what you mean?
7)is where two species transform into each other by the gain or loss of a proton and differs by H+.
