Hmm I see.. I might look into improving the local city then, just so it can feed me things after I abandon it

Just done a major restructuring which bankrupted me from 1 million simoleans! Had to move my streetcar terminal, police division, electronics HQ, and trade depot so I could fit in two new Trade Ports!

Trying to gear myself up to bust the 1.5million goal, so I can get a computer factory
Haha I spent my million on a municipal airport.

I have had to do major restructures before too, it's horrible doing it. I keep thinking "What if these Sims don't come back?" as I'm bulldozing their house!

Haha, my sims seem to respond well to harsh treatment

But I have a tower with 700+ recycling bins because all the trucks refuse to collect it.. I need to demolish it and slightly alter the roads but it's one of my richest in town

Whoa ur fast, I didn't expect to read your responds for half of hour ;D I'll try that recycling thingie with computers and stuff

I have three casinos which earn 15k per day and I have 3 theatres, but after some time these theatres do not give profit any more because visitors are bored of same shows...

You are heavily reliant on your neighbours for many things.

Workers; water; power; refuse disposal; shoppers; tourists etc.

You cannot build a self sufficient city like you could in earlier games, eventually you will run out of things such as water.

So it's fun, it's an idea to have one city specialise in education and get the faculties needed for the advanced techs, as they automatically share with the whole region. Basically trade off for other amenities from your neighbours.

I've only really experienced the shared city hall stuff, so a neighbour can have upgraded his utilities, and I get the benefits too.

Otherwise there's nothing from what I can see, the game will invent tourists if there aren't any around, at least when you play 'solo'

The servers are so glitchy! And there is still no way to find out what server your origin friends are playing on... or am I mistaken?

Idk, I only have two groups I play with, and by chance they're both on Western Europe 3

As a server it seems very stable, I've never been 'kicked' - though the program itself crashed three times, when I tried alt-tabbing out, though that's probably my computer more than anything!

Under Culture in the City Specialisation tab (that shield icon underneath the region and city-view tabs)

    **** - it doesn't work at all.

You should be able to have major specialisation eg. be an industrial hub and get all the workers from outside, supply power to everyone else etc.....but of course there are random buggy caps on it all.

Also it means the severs go down A LOT and you can't play your game. It's a ****ing disaster to be honest.

And to boot, good luck finding people you want to play with, specific or non-specific. I only get list after list of FULL servers. Isn't that a waste of time...:facepalm2:

You can find what server you are on, but good luck finding the specific game. For a "only multiplayer" game, it has to be the worst design I've ever seen.

Does somebody have a region that I can join to?
I can't believe it. This game is multiplayer based and most of the fun you can get from playing with other people, but you CAN'T join any region! You can only invite people to your region...
This game is soooooo ...ed up. The only good thing is I got Dead Space 3 for free=P
