What did you guys put for the IF spec question?
I swear there was a peak for a C-O bond and C=O bond but I got the molecular formula to be C4H8O which doesn't make sense...

Yeah and the points suggested it was a Keytone or an Aldehyde. Well I hope so anyway...

If it was broad absorption it would be a carboxylic acid but the peak was sharp.

I got C4H8O but didn't notice a C-O bond, only a C=O bond. Since there was no O-H, I thought the structure would be an aldehyde/ketone?

    But a ketone/aldehyde doesn't have a C-O bond??

I was stuck for so long on that aswell, the IR Spectrum showed C-O and C=O so i was like ok, it's an ester but then the molecular formula was C4H8O so it couldn't have been an ester? I ended up just writing down structures for a ketone and an aldehyde but i didn't have a clue if it's right?

I thought it was butanal and butanol due to slight broad peak at 3200-3500

    Conditions of fermentation?
I put presence of yeast and 37°C but I'm not sure whether the first one is a 'condition' and the second one is absolutely necessary - just an optimum?
