Here's a challenging question for you all - if you can do this you can do any on the exam.

    Attachment 221935

    Even harder
What exam board is that. It took me about half an hour to do the first one. Surely that is not AS level. Is it -11 btw, it best be, if not can you please explain it

You know 4 moles of NO releases 909KJ. 1 mole of NO would therefore release 909/4 KJ. 2.5x10^5moles therefore releases 2.5x10^5x(909/4)=56812500 which iirc is shortened to 3 sig figs but you don't have to.

Divide 2.5x10^5 by 4 and then multiply but 909kJ

I'm sure my way must be a bad way it took ages. I divided the equations and swapped them around until they all cancelled out. Is that how you did it?

I reversed the reactions to master overall equation, then just cancelled we won't get this type of question in the exam will we, as it took me like 30 minutes to do

I highly doubt it lol. most cycles/enthalpy calculations can be done in a few minutes at the most.

It's not from an exam board, it's from a work sheet. The answer is indeed -11 KJ, well done.

Half an hour is a bit much though!
