I sat F321 and got an A. The exams are easy if you prepare. I find chemistry the hardest to get high marks on (compared to maths and physics). Exam technique is very important with OCR Chemistry and you should do all the most recent past papers.
    Thank you for your advice

    Okay Well done!
I'm currently on a C in practical, but have one last practical next week, where if I gain 3 more marks, I'll be on a B.
In class tests, I'm usually good, I range from 60-80%, but really I need to be securing the 80%.

I'm doing one hour of revision for Chemistry a day, on top of lessons, so averaging out to about 16 hours of Chemistry a week

    Thank you for reply!!
thanks!! a b for practicals is really good thats fine you can get a B by doing that just make sure you do every past paper and all the legacy papers from 2001 onwards, theyre so similar to the new specification past papers

What are the grade boundries like for the practicals at AS, know its something like 34/40 for an A, does it change from year to year?

No. Boundaries never change. Always 34 for an A at AS

    But

    36 for an A at A2

most years its been 34/40..from last year the a2 ones increased to 36 and the biology AS ones increased to 36 so it wuldnt surprise me if this year AS chemistry goes up to 36 as well.

that's not true, the a2 ones use to be 34 but they changed to 36 recently, the same will most likely happen this year

Practical grade boundaries are set each year and vary each year. Depends on everybodys marks.
